Throwing the car into park out back of the burger joint, Aisu was just finishing up his own. Smoke swirled from his nostrils whilst he put the now roach out in the ashtray.
"Fuuuck.. That was such a long ride.." Opening the door, he pushed the rest of it open with his left foot. Anchoring himself slightly while smoke gushed out in billows. Half of his body teetering outside the ride before he was able to grab everything he needed. The young man pulled himself from the ride slamming the door accidentally in the process. Wearing black jeans tonight, he sported a blue hoodie that read out. "Frost resistance +10" Followed by a very detailed frost shield on the back which trailed all the way over his shoulders to the front. Talking long breaths of the crisp night air he held out his arms. Twirling once before smiling and coming back down to reality.
Ding!!
Sounded the door as he pushed it open with his shoulder. Quickly, briskly he walked up to the counter to make his glorious order. What would it be this time? Chicken? No, no.. Let's go big man, big! I got it! The lady behind the counter seemed perplexed by the rather high teenager who walked into the establishment. She spoke to him, but he barely listened before blurting out. "I'd like a double, cheese please. No onions or tomato's either. Large fry, large chocolate shake, large coke." At first she was stunned by the sudden order, but managed to take everything down.

Lien was starving as she sat at the counter, spinning in little circles on the bar stool as she waited for her order. She could hear the ding of the bell but she ignored as she continued to spin, a dumb smile on her face as she did it again to make the whole room swirl around her. Her black hair was pulled into a tight pony tail, dark magenta eyes unfocused as her delicate pale hands reached out to keep her balance while spun and she even made little whoosh sounds. She wore a simple pair of tight jeans, and a dark green tank top. She was dancing as she spun, the jukebox in the diner was playing one of her favorite journey songs and this was everything she needed after a really long day.
Her play time was interrupted though as the waitress came over, shaking her head a bit and placed the plate down carefully between her spins. "Here hun." The waitress smiled at the order, a medium rare steak and a hamburger patty with real cheddar cheese and absolutely nothing else. She had a large cherry pepsi and desert was ordered but it would have to wait till after she had something else on her stomach. She couldn't risk a bunch of sugar in her body before she had some meats.
She stopped spinning and grabbed the counter as her body swayed on the bar stool. "Thanks." Lien nodded to the blurry and four waitresses in front of her and laid her head down as the feeling continued for another good minute. When the feeling finally passed she sat back up right and drew a breath before taking a long drink from her soda, and then lifted up her knife with her left hand but as she reached for her fork she miscalculated. Upon lifting it up by the tongs rather quickly it flung out of her hand and flew behind her. All she could do was blink and stare at her hand for a moment before turning her body on the bar stool to figure out just where the hell it had gone to.

When the waitress vanished he didn't even notice. Pulling out his wallet with the lightning fast reflexes of a sloth. The young man's eyes focused entirely on the menu that was still before him. Wandering, searching to see if there was another delicious morsel he could snag for the feast he was about to receive.
It wasn't long before she returned, ringing him up and presenting the total to the rather complete space case. "Sir.. " She brought him back down to reality. "Oh yes of course!" Pulling his wallet the rest of the way open he fished around before catching a ten between his fingers. In one fluid motion he presented the currency to the lady. She smiled, finally pleased it was almost a complete transaction.
Right then a whistle had seemed about the air, the stir brought the waitresses attention to the young woman before her eyes landed back on Aisu. His outstretched arm recieved a grim reminder that day. Not every day, was a good day.. A sudden slice pieced his outstretched arm. Shock of what had happened seemed to delay the pain in his arm. "What?.." Was all he managed.
Post by Lien Braska on Nov 3, 2014 22:20:05 GMT -8
Lien glanced around confused as she looked around the diner and then turned to her right to see the man who was also seated at the booth. She hadn't paid any attention to him before but now she had very good cause. In his outstretched arm was the fork she had misplaced, sticking right up. Well... you didn't see that every day nor did she think it was even possible that a fork could pierce skin so easily. The sight was so strange and stunning to see that for a full minute Lien could only stare.
Finally her brain came back to where it belonged. "Oh! oh shit!" she shook her head and grabbed her napkin before rushing over and pulled the fork out and pressed the napkin to his arm. "Sorry! I was having a bit too much fun and before I knew it my fork had launched itself into oblivion. Who knew oblivion would be your flesh." she gave a laugh and turned her attention to the young man she had just wounded, gazing into his icey blue eyes and kept the cloth napkin pressed to his skin, but then turned her gaze back to the waitress who was standing there dumb struck.
"You think you could get me a fresh fork? I don't think I could eat my dinner with blood. Not really my type of thing." she shrugged her shoulders, her calm demeanor was all that much more strange to the waitress who gave a dumb nod before turning to walk away and get Lien a clean fork. Lien returned her attention back to the young man and gazed at him, waiting for his reaction.

Suddenly the pain registered in his brain. "Ow!" The assailant suddenly spoke up then, every time she said Oh he just said OW once again. "What!? What happened.." When she began to explain herself he didn't really get anything she was saying. The young man was still heavily medicated which took most of the pain away, however what really took it away was the look at her eyes. Dumbstruck himself, well that was till she yanked the fork out of his arm.
It all came rushing back quick, very quick. Blood coated the cloth slowly, almost reluctant to leave his body. Her touch was surprisingly warm compared to his own cold body. Still very much out of it he didn't get angry. Atleast not yet he didn't. "Should probably get a handle on the fork next time or it'll be someone's eyeball instead."

She was pressing the napkin to it and tippy toed to reach for the napkin holder and pulled some more, the holder fell over but she managed to get her prize before applying them to the wound again. She turned her attention to him and frowned. "Well I didn't mean to fling it. I was just so dizzy from spinning around I didn't notice how hard I picked it up." she gave a simple shrug and noticed that his skin was rather cold. Ugh... another ice user. She seemed to always find them despite her preference for warm temperatures.
"Anyways I'm sorry none the less. I'm sure the bleeding will stop it didn't seem to go that far in. Honestly I'm surprised it went in, in the first place. You must have like.. really thin skin. I've dropped those things on my bare feet and they only just bounce off." she pointed out still gazing at him like she wasn't all that impressed. "But I'll make it up to you and buy you a milkshake if you want. I am going to order one of their chocolate ones and add it to my soda. It's so super good!"
Post by Aisu Fulhelm on Nov 3, 2014 23:03:57 GMT -8
Rolling his eyes he didn't seem to buy the excuse she seemed to give him. "Yeah, well I'm sorry my skin wasn't more durable to your flying projectile.. But.. I'll make ya pay for it if you want, but I rather have an Iced Mocha.. I already got myself a large chocolate shake comin." Which wasn't too far behind. The commotion hadn't stopped production in the back, it actually boomed since everyone else who was there was listening to them.
"Since you're going to buy me a drink anyways and the fact you've already mortally wounded me. Could I ask for your name or am I going to have to severe limbs? Because if so I'm out now. I'm not much into pain." No just alot of despair.. You know, I really gotta find how to turn my brain off.. No wait, not my brain, but the voice in my head. Yeah, you. You voice, shut the hell up. He seemed in heavy thought momentarily before returning to reality just in time to gauge a response from her.

She quirked her right brow as her dark magenta eyes glared at him slightly. "An iced mocha it is and my flying project was supposed to be shoveling beef into my mouth so I could head out to the forest. Instead I'm standing here holding napkins to your bleeding flesh.... you know maybe it's your luck? I hear she's tricky like that." she shrugged again and released her fingers against all the napkins against his arm to see if they would stick on their own. She really didn't want to get blood on her hands since her stomach was starving and it would mean it would take more time to wash her hands. She brought her hands to her eyes, making sure there was no blood before she grabbed her plate and drink and moved to the bar stool to his right.
"I'm Lien Braska... no need to be so dramatic. I will buy you an iced mocha." she motioned to the waitress and ordered an extra large for the guy beside her and paid before grabbing her clean fork and knife once again, this time a bit more carefully but none the less she cut the burger into pieces and took a bite of it before giving him a smile, just not too big since she didn't want to show him what she was eating while she was eating it.

By the time she had let go the bleeding had stopped, after all it wasn't that deep. Only a flesh wound even some might say. The waitress seemed to lag upon getting his food to him, however it was to be expected with what just went on. "Well, Lien Braska. I am Aisu Fulhelm.. Just transferred to the school here about a week ago. Just scoping out the place, that was until I was so viciously attacked." Even if she didn't mean to, he wanted to give her a hard time about it.
"Although I'm sure it wasn't intentional. Unless this is how you keep the boys at bay. That I could understand.. Where I come from women tend to get extra wanted attention." It was true that he had a slight accent, but it was almost diminished with the time he already spent inside the states. Returning the smile he looked down to see her just eating... A burger patty. Instantly he looked up at her saying. "Is that how you eat hamburgers here?"
Post by Lien Braska on Nov 5, 2014 19:34:32 GMT -8
She sliced another piece and placed it into her mouth before her head turned and watched him, listening to him as she chewed the bite. She glanced to the patty, then back to him with a bit of a shrug before dabbing her lips with the napkin. "It's how I eat a patty. I'm a carnivore." she pointed to the plate and there were no greens what so ever. "I eat meats, poultry, fish, and dairy. Sometimes I get cheddar on the patty but I wasn't feeling it tonight." she gave a shrug and turned back to him, gazing at him for a moment.
"That wasn't a vicious attack... despite the carnivorous life style I am a Buddhist and pacifist. I do not fight, nor do I try to harm people... physically." she gave a slight shrug. "I'm not all that nice either but I have been... trying to learn how. I'm not very good at it yet but... you get what you get." she cut into the steak, it had had enough resting time and as she took the bite she sighed happily at the delicious flavoring and licked her lips a bit. "You sound like you're from a place with a lot of pretty women. In New York that's the only type that got extra attention... that or the skanks who basically had a bulls eye of... 'hey! i'm easy!' written across them." She sliced another piece and put it with the hamburger before taking the bite.
Post by Aisu Fulhelm on Nov 6, 2014 17:09:08 GMT -8
"Oh.. Well, that's interesting. You would be the first pure carnivore I've met that isn't a complete animal." It didn't take him long to take a fry, dipping it into the chocolate milk shake before taking a rather happy bite. "My, gosh.. I've been wanting to eat bad food all night.. Not that it's bad.. But bad for me." The waitress was almost about to rip into him for the comment. Passing past them only to refill just their drinks.
"Thanks." he responded absentmindedly before turning back to Lien. "That's very nice. Not many people can turn a cheek to violence, anger. Even to revenge, taints the purest of hearts." Don't I know it.. Pushing the thought to the back of his mind he focused on her instead. His smile didn't seem to drop, but he did correct her abit. "Ah, yes, pretty women, but not for the reason you might think. Where I'm from women don't have much freedom.. If you know what I mean.."
Aisu didn't look up at her after that tidbit. Rather he picked up his burger to take a bite before giving a wide grin after swallowing. "Ahh, that's, that's just awesome.." Picking up another two fries he dipped them into the shake again before munching away on them happily.
She watched him dip the fry into the chocolate shake and blinked a few times as the very disturbing odd habit. She couldn't believe he was defiling his chocolate shake like that but when one ate roots as it was... it figured they would do even more strange things. She swallowed the bite in her mouth and lifted her glass to another drink of it, then dabbed her lips once again with the napkin.
"Women without freedom... then you're not from the US. I can hear the accent but I don't seem to recognize it. It's really unusual." she pointed out and set her pepsi down before continuing to slice the steak open. "I used to not turn away from violence... in fact I used to rush head in but that's what got me into trouble once. Since then I've changed my ways. There are very few things I would ever fight over now. The mistreatment of women is probably one of the few." she glanced to him, pondering for a moment if he was the type to restrict a woman. Men were vile things most of the time, but few had shown her that they could be trusted. Like Aurelian... so far he had been very kind and with no strings but it had taken over a year for him to gain what trust he did have with her.
She took the bite of the steak and set her fork and knife down, taking her time to enjoy the juicy bite and reflected a little on this new male next to her. Aisu Fulhelm. He had said he was new to the area and had just transferred to the school. "You're attending Kumorai High? I'm a student there too. It's my junior year but I've been here since my second semester of my freshman year."
Post by Aisu Fulhelm on Nov 8, 2014 0:48:44 GMT -8
"Ah no.. I'm from a small village in Europe. I've doubt you've ever heard of it. It was a very.. Aa.. isolated area?" It seemed he wasn't completely integrated into the new society. "What I mean is.. Our village was bountiful, but it was also the only one for miles when traveling to the next city. Bandits would come to raid us constantly, take what ever they wanted. We didn't have any police or enforcement, I was only a boy when.. Bad things really started to happen."
Taking another bite of the french fry and chocolate shake goodness he finally set his eyes on the bigger prize. Smiling wide he picked it up, taking a rather large bite before putting it down. Arugula hung outside his mouth before he could catch it, a large glob of ketchup spilled down on his chin. Pulling up a napkin he hid his monstrous bite before consuming it. Licking his lips he had gotten everything, but the glob on his lower chin. After he managed to swallow the massive bite he looked back at Lien with a smile. "Man, you guys have the best burgers. Ever!" Seemingly excited over how good the food was he picked back up the previous conversation.
"That's good, protecting others is worth it. Sometimes I wished I was older back then so I could have helped my family.." A small twinge seemed to come about his right eye, striking a rather deep cord in him. "However it would have done no good, better to be alive, yes?" Tilting his head he didn't seem to quite understand what she was saying till he pulled out a piece of paper. The words seemed to match her own grade. "I don't know what classes I'm really suppose to be in.. Or what I am.. Your schooling is quite different."
Her eyes watched his face very carefully. She had learned to read people on the streets growing up and that look.. that look was pain. She finished her bite and sat in silence for a moment, contemplating once again before she lifted her fork and knife to cut into it. Aisu was certainly different so far on the surface but she had seen that sometimes the surface was not what was below the dark waters. "Living and surviving are different things... but... let's not get too dark for a first conversation." she gave him a smirk, she didn't want to get in deep with someone she had just met.
"School is kinda the same around the US... the only exception from our school is that we take ability control classes. Ever day you go to class and the teacher will help you learn to tap into your powers. They teach you to control it. The teacher there is really good and if you get out of control... they have someone neutralize you." she shrugged slightly, gazing at the meat as she cut into it. "Basically someone who can shut your powers down. It's great and works for some but.. not for me." she gave a soft laugh. "Well at least not for all my powers. Can't neutralize what's in my blood since it's poisonous chlorophyll. I am what they call floral gifted. What about you?" though judging by how it was even colder next to him despite the diner already being cold, she had a feeling she already knew what kind of powers he had.

He didn't seem much interested in taking the subject further himself. Picking up the burger again he couldn't help but to take a few more bites before he could speak to her again. "Mmm, I was told some of these things. But In my country we do school all year round. We finish quite earlier then you people do tho. Well, I guess not anymore. I'm one of you now!" He felt he had shifted the conversation in a better direction.
"Floral? Erm.. What is that? Floral I only know as.. Um, Landscaping?" He still wasn't amazing with his English, certain words he didn't seem to catch onto. "Oh! you mean plant!" When he heard about her blood he seemed to tilt his head. "How are you not dead then!?" The stoner's mind couldn't wrap around this concept for a moment.
However when she asked him how he was gifted he frowned slightly. "I would not say gifted exactly, but.. I can make the room cold, if you catch my draft." He began to chuckle.
