She chewed the bite in her mouth as she listened to him, he was a strange young man and his punny words made her smile a bit as she shook her head. "A draft.. I gotchya." she smiled a bit and put her fork down, feeling full from the large meal but turned her attention back to him. "You know I'm not even sure how I am alive with chlorophyll... I am not even sure if I was born this way or if I slowly changed to be this way but as far back as I remember I was just was." she gave a shrug but then raised her hand to get the attention of the waitress who walked over with ease since the two were ordering quite a bit of food it seemed.
"Can I get a chocolate shake and an extra up, as well as an iced mocha extra large." she pulled some money from her pocket and handed it over to the woman before slipping her little black wallet back into her front pocket. "Tomorrow is a school day, we could meet up in the morning and I'll help you get around for your first day. The scheduling is done as best they can but every now and again you get classes that are on opposite ends of each other or on different floors. There are elevators but I would still say to take the stairs as they're just faster, and oh the biggest rule... don't use your powers against other students. Mr. Kinzoku, the principal, will come up with the most twisted and asshole punishments if you do."

Tilting his head he couldn't help but raise his burger again to finish off the rest of the decimated half that remained. Or rather didn't after he finished with it. Covering his mouth he couldn't help blurting out "Ohh?" Swallowing the rest he made sure to get the ketchup that lingered on his lips with a napkin. Causally balling it up in his hand as he cleared his throat, swallowing one last time. "I didn't know people could be born like that."
Arching a brow he couldn't help but smile when she got him yet another Mocha. Well atleast he hoped it was for him. "Would that happen to be for me?" Mocha coffee was literally a mistress for him, an addiction he could never kick. "Thank you, I have no idea what I'm doing most of the time here." Chuckling softly he made sure to pay attention to her. His blue eyes gazing into her own for a moment before he broke contact. "Er.. I don't like using my powers against people, so we are safe there." He managed another meager laugh. Scratching the back of his head for just a few seconds he pulled out his wallet. Making sure to count the money before showing her. "How much is this?" He only hand hundreds stacked neatly together before a few fives. It seemed almost half a thousand dollars of fresh clean bills. "I took only a quarter of my savings? As you say here out of my bank. I don't know what this all means really.. I felt kind of like idiot asking the teller what was what, buut.. Since your buying me stuff that must mean you won't rob me if I show you." This time he blushed, a crimson shade over masking his rather pristine white cheeks.

Lien gave a nod as she slouched against the counter, pushing the plate away that empty now as she did so. She turned to him, smiling a bit. "Lots of people are born with their powers while others develop them later. A few are given powers from special things that happen. Eventually most end up at this school or wild on the street. I guess it's getting more common to just come here though. I know Aurelian, the principal, goes around the world during the summer looking for gifted people like us. So many of the students owe him for finding them and bringing them here to have a better life. I am one of those." she explained as she gave a moment to rest her stomach and relax.
"Yes the mocha is for you since you're almost done with the one you have." she teased and looked up as the waitress brought their order. She placed a big scoop of the shake into the extra cup and added some of the soda before taking a long drink. She licked her lips happily but when she turned to him and saw him pulling out the money she reached over and pushed his hand back towards his wallet. "One.. put away the money as Shadow City does have seedy residents that will mug you for that. Two.. it's not nearly that much. It's not even half of one of those papers in your hand. I'll have to teach you the monetary system tomorrow as well." she laughed, giving her head a bit of a shake.

Tilting his head he seemed to perk up quite abit when she mentioned the principle. He seemed to know who she was talking about. "Oh yeah! I know him, well I think I do.. I call him Mr. A.. I kinda have troubles pronouncing things still. His name alot.." Scratching the back of his head he seemed to ignore the power speak all together, something didn't sit right when she talked about it. He seemingly avoided talking about his powers altogether.
"He found me in my homeland, I had made it to a big city.. I was saving up to move here as it was, then.. He found me. It was probably the turning point in my life to come to the states.. To be honest even if I saved up all of this.. Money, I doubt I would have ever made it here without him. " He had assumed the money was far more then he needed, but then again his life wasn't that cheap here as it was back in his old home. "You can teach me then, yes?"
Post by Lien Braska on Nov 22, 2014 0:33:15 GMT -8
She smiled and nodded. "Mr. A... I'm surprised he lets you get away with that since Aurelian is his first name but it's probably different where you come from. Many of the students call him different things. One girl calls him father... Canary. She's a prep and miss popular around school. I'm sure you'll meet her later. More than likely Canary will be the one to show you around. Aurelian adopted her on one of those cross country tours." she sighed softly at the thought. Canary was sweet enough but Lien tended to stay away from her. The reason she did see her was when Ayumi was hanging out with her for English tutoring. She seemed nice enough but something about her just didn't settle well with Lien, a conflict of energies she supposed.
"But yeah I'll help you learn what I can." she smiled and started to finish off her ice cream and wiped her mouth using the napkin. "It is getting kinda late, though, and we should start heading back. Did Aurelian tell you about curfew? Students must be back in the dorms by ten o'clock on school nights. He worries about us getting into trouble." she laughed softly and shook her head. Aurelian worried a lot come to think of it. Lien always wondered why as Shadow City had been one of the nicest towns she had ever been to. "It's a long walk back so we'll need the hour to get back." she explained, having no idea that he had actually driven there.

Aisu had not the foggiest clue what she was saying half the time, but she looked good doing it. It was honest, not like some of the women he had already met in the states. "Uh, I drove here actually, do you need ride?" Tilting his head he had time to finish off all over his fries, shake, burger and all with the small talk.
"I didn't know about a curfew, that would be news to me. Although I don't know how I will sleep after two large coffee's." Right after he sipped from the second he already had half killed. "But meh." The young man didn't to have any ambition of sleep on his mind what so ever. "Are you going to sleep? I can't after eating, I'll wake up with heart burn. Hah!" His accent was almost so thick it wasn't funny, neither were his puny jokes half the time. "I stay in the guys dorm tho, so I would be the opposite sides.. But I have no problem driven ya."
Post by Lien Braska on Nov 26, 2014 17:22:32 GMT -8
She couldn't help but smirk slightly at the way he sounded... it reminded her a little of a funny cartoon she had seen on tv once. "No I don't really sleep much... usually four hours a night is all I really need so most of the time I'm up studying, reading, doing a bit of gardening, or something.." she gave a shrug, trying to recall what she did most night but it seemed to blur together after so many years of being here at this comfortable school. It warmed her heart for a moment though... to know that she finally had a complacent life style where she was no longer in fear.
Lien shook her head, snapping back to reality and smiled at Aisu. "A ride would be appreciated. I hate fucking walking back but the food here is great and cheap. I really need to learn to drive one day." she laughed softly and gave a slight shrug. "If we're driving we have a little more time to relax, there's no traffic here in Shadow City unless someone dumb got into an accident. Hell most people have bikes to get around since the town isn't really that big."
Post by Aisu Fulhelm on Dec 3, 2014 22:55:11 GMT -8
Tilting his head once more he nodded when she agreed to the ride. However he was no use to everything being so.. easy? He thought.. no, it was more.. Calm, quiet even. No one was getting hurt constantly without a care, people earned an honest living. God damn it was bizarre for him. Lien had been the only person besides the principle to have an honest conversation with. Everyone else had either avoided him or not talked to him downright at all.
"It's really calm here compared to where I come from. It's big difference then what I'm use to. The streets especially being so empty. Luckily I was able to get some wheels with two stacks of green paper. Was practically steal." For the dealer that is..
"So we waiting here for alittle more?" He was slightly confused from earlier, but followed up with another question. "Do you mind if we hang out, outside? Nasty habit, need to smoke, yeah?"
She couldn't help but shake her head slightly when he had said two stacks of green paper. The poor guy was going to get himself into trouble out here with all that money. She finished up the last few bites of her ice cream, anymore and her stomach might just pop. Going outside to stretch her legs and hopefully her intestines a bit sounded like a rather nice idea. Chilly... but nice.
"Sure we can go out. Everything is all paid for already so I'm ready to go when you are.." she started heading out of the diner with him, giving a wave to the waitress and glanced back at Aisu. "You're a little young to be smoking aren't you? How old are you?" she asked as they stepped outside. There was a quick wind but it was calm after that. The night sky above them was sparkling as Lien put her arms around herself and pulled her jacket closed around her. It was starting to be late autumn and the nights were getting cold, but Lien always carried a jacket once it started to get cold... as a plant she really couldn't risk freezing.

Making sure to grab his coat he proceeded after her out of the establishment of meaty superiority. Not before putting a few bills into the tip jar, well, WELL over what he should have given. "Do svidaniya!" The young man managed before exiting into the chilly winters night. When she spoke about his age he almost burst out laughing. "I'm my country most kids smoke before they are twelve, but it doesn't matter to us. Non live past thirties where I come from. Either the mines claim you or a black lung does. Either way you die from black lung."
As they walked side by side he brought her to a subcompact car. It was an electric blue kia soul that had been tricked out to be quite right. Unlocking the doors he opened it before a wave of sticky icky stank hit them both full force. "Luckily for us, I do not smoke tobacco. yeah?" He assumed she would get the meaning, especially being floral gifted. Turning the keys to his car made it completely alive, the speakers pulsed with bright neon blue lights, while another green one outlined the inside of his car.

"Oh... you're from one of those countries." she followed him to the car as she got in, shivering a bit and then rubbed her hands together as she smelled just a hint of what he was smoking. She shook her head as she gazed at him. "Actually... that's completely illegal here. Cops catch you with that on you and well.. you're in big trouble mister." she laughed softly as she reached back and put her seat belt on and then looked around the car a bit quietly. "You have a really interesting ride... you really did spend a lot for it. I am sure the guy you bought it from was really happy." she smirked a bit and turned to him.
"I can't believe you even smoke that stuff, but I guess where you are from they don't really teach you the ill effects it has on your body before you're fully matured. I knew a lot of homies that used to smoke that stuff before they moved onto... harder things. But that was a really long time ago." she blinked a bit. Why the fuck had she even talked about that one? She quickly looked back up at him and smiled. "When did you start smoking?" she wanted to change the subject, better to not risk going into her past.

Arching a brow he didn't really know what she meant, but he decided to just roll his own right then and there. Reaching back behind his seat he popped open a small compartment on the backside of his middle console. Making sure to push the biggest bag he had back in as he made sure it was a sativa based plant he was grabbing. "Oh?"
Smiling he tilted his head. Closing the compartment before moving back fully into his seat. Along with the small bag was a lighter, papers and of course, the bud of it all. "Bad? Ehh, slightly. Of course the tar, black stuff and all does stain your lungs. But, used correctly and in the right doses. It's not to harmful to the body. If I had vape like my friend back home. I wouldn't need to worry. But I've not been anywhere yet to make a purchase, I guess I really should.."
Taking the bag he began to break down the fine green, making sure to take great care in his work. However when she asked him the last question he didn't seem very enthused.
"Ahh.. I started half a year ago..A few months before Mr. A found me. I tell you, I was not a very nice man to him." He laughed quickly, trying to lighten his mood. By the time he had finished laughing he was done rolling. Taking a look at his fine work he nodded. "Sovershennym."
Post by Lien Braska on Dec 14, 2014 22:01:59 GMT -8
She still could not believe he was doing it so openly despite her saying that it was illegal but she supposed to each their own. She sat back a little, placing her elbow on the door rest and then her head onto her hand as she watched him with a slightly amused smirked. "I don't think... any of us were really nice when he first met us.." she whispered softly, remembering how different she had been. How angry she had been... but she pushed the thoughts away and smiled at him as he said something in Russian.
"So.. soversheniem? What does that mean?" she cutely, but horribly mispronounced the name as he marveled at the white little creation he had made. "You know... I had heard from a friend that stuff helps with asthma. Is that really true?" her brows knitted slightly together at the idea. "I mean... how is it that something you smoke which can damage the lungs be good for someone with asthma?" she shook her head a bit, not really understanding at all.

"I was not very nice at all, he put me into ground after I told him to fuck off. But.. He began to help me, if I had not found him. I might still be on streets, stealing for people." Making sure that there had been no steams sticking through the paper to filter out any smoke.
When she tried to pronounce it he said it again twice, smiling and chuckling. "You were very close, good job!" He clapped his palm with his finger tips softly so as not to drop the tiny white wonder. "It means perfect, excuse. I didn't mean to switch back, it's hard sometimes. I'm still learning big, big English words." Taking out a piece of hempwhick he began to light the end. Rolling down the window he tilted his head when she began to talk about asthma. "Oh yeah! Big time, it's aa.. B-b-bronchodilator! Ha! That's it! My friend told me this, not only does it help with stress, anxiety, but it also scientificly opens your airways. Allowing more airflow into your legkiye. I mean, Lungs, lungs yes."
However there was a problem with the end of it, taking a piece of paper he made a small filter for the end instead of twisting it he pushed the small piece through. Making a rather perfect whackytabbacky cig.

Her eyes glanced to him and she felt a strange pang of familiarity about what he had said... it seemed he had lived on the streets much like her. A fuller smile spread across her face as he said Russian words instead of English again, but this time was able to correct himself. She shifted a bit in her seat and nodded. "I've heard that a lot... it just seems too weird." she laughed softly and gave her leg a little stretch, her mind thinking about if it would really help or not.
"Where I grew up... the only time I saw people smoking pot was because they were so tweaked out they couldn't stay still or they were having a nasty come down from something else. My mother was... one of those people." she shrugged a bit and glanced to him. "She told me once that my father was Russian though... well.. his family was Russian. I never got to meet him though.. he took off I think before he even realized my mother was pregnant."
Aurelian Kinzoku: Yes I would rather not want to buy more computers because of one little slip up..

Ichabod: I have told Aurelian that if any of his students gets out of hand to send them my way. I have a large graveyard to take care of and only two hands to do it.
