A Midnight Dip (Open)

Javel sighed calmly as he let himself lay back in the cool water, enjoying as he felt the water gently lap over his body. The moon was almost as bright as the faintly buzzing Mercury-Vapor lighting overhead. His pallid skin seemed much whiter in the lighting but at this point he didn't care...He always would take these midnight dips to avoid not only the sun burning his flesh, but the taunting from some of the upper classmen. 

Too many times, he'd come to the swimming pool when he first arrived, decked in layer upon layer of a special ointment to prevent his skin from burning. He'd thrown the ointment away after the first few months and hadn't swam for five months afterwards.

When he finally worked up the courage to step into the normally empty area at midnight, he found it was the most relaxed that he'd ever been. With this relaxation, came inner peace...and with this inner peace, came the joy that he had so longed for. Whenever someone had approached, he'd always hide beneath the water, glad for the refraction within the water that allowed him to not be seen. Now, he did his usual swimming for exercise as well as to stay in shape. No one bothered him usually, so he had stopped needing to hide lately.

With the day's thoughts rushing through his head, he let his energies flow through his body, allowing himself to float atop the water just enough to avoid water in his ears. He knew that he had an opinion piece due tomorrow...but he didn't care, Math was a study session tomorrow, so he could finish it then. 

So lost in thought was he, that he wouldn't have noticed if anyone crept towards the glistening water.

Aiden was walking down the sidewalk looking for a place to find something to eat but he had gotten lost. He was never good with directions and with his ability to teleport not fully controlled he could end up in Egypt or back in his room at the school in a matter of seconds. He tries not to use his power unless it is truly needed, emergencies only.

He looked around and saw nothing but trees and street lights, he was walking a little faster now trying to get to the nearest place for direction but it didnt look like there was anything close. In his scared thoughts he hadn't seem the semi-truck coming down the road hearing a blaring horn, Aiden closed his eyes, tensed his muscles and poof...

He opened his eyes and saw himself flying through the air, only 100 feet above the ground but it was going to hurt if he hit. He closed his eyes once more teleported closer to the ground and -thud- landed in a crop of bushes. "Ohhhhhh, gah. That hurt more than I thought it would." He gently pulled his head up and realized he was just outside the swimming pool area. Struggling and stumbled to his feet, getting caught and cut up by the fall and branches of the bushes. "Pool, water, ouch." He put a hand over his forehead and pulled it away seeing a few lines of blood. He blew a raspberry at his hand and recklessly fell into the pool.

The only thing he thought about at that point, "I am having a baaaaaad night."

At the sound of someone falling into the pool, the albino male would stand erect in the water, his body slowly covering itself in a shell of ice as he didn't want to be made fun of. He'd look around to see where the newcomer was. Finally, when he thought he saw someone, he'd reach out to attempt to displace the water around the other student's body, including any drops on his clothes.

"Who are you?" he'd ask in a wavering tone.

Aiden managed to mutter out from the quick shock from the cold water, "thats...really...cold". He is finally able to focus on himself for a bit and struggles to get to the edge of the pool and pulls himself up. Aiden begins to start jumping up and down to warm himself up, completely forgetting that someone spoke to him just a moment ago. He quickly turns around to see a pale-like person in the water. "Oh, why hello there. Sorry, I hope I haven't bothered you to much."

With his turn, he was struck with a bit of vertigo and his butt hit the ground before he knew what happened. "Woo, a bit dizzy there." He pat his head again still seeing the blood but in a lesser quantity now. "Would you mind if I sat here for a bit, not up for walking at the moment."

Finally, being able to fully see further than the blood on his hand. He saw the name nearly naked. But he seemed to shimmer slightly in the light. Turning a touch red, he slowly turned around away from the boy, "sorry, I...um I didn't know you were bare."

The young man would look down before his ice covered body would move down into the water itself. "yeah...well.." he'd trail off and look down into the rippling water. "Are you okay?" he'd ask calmly, after he'd thought for a bit.

He'd swim closer to the edge to see if he could take a look at the bloody area. "nah...you can stay..I guess..."

"Thank you very much" He spoke beginning to look over his shoulder at the man but had his eyes closed. Aiden wasn't good with the body, sure he was of the male persuasion as well but he was still coming of age and viewing the skin of anyone made him slightly nervous. He hadnt had much interest in the human boy, male or female but he couldn't help.

He put his hand to his head again as to check the blood flowing from his wound, less it is flowing but with any head wound it will flow for a while longer. He hissed lightly as he pulled his hand away and swayed gently as if the wind was wailing around him. "Right, yeah..." he paused, "I'm fine, I just need a little resssssss..." Aiden slowly felling into darkness by passing out hitting the ground.

With a swift movement, the young man pulled himself onto the concrete and began to remove the water from himself. He'd quickly find his clothes and don them before he'd try to manipulate the pool water underneath Aiden to get him to the medical station of the school. he'd do this by freezing the water and letting Aiden slide, only to let the water melt and move to the front to start all over again.

This prevented him from overusing his abilities, and as he'd reach the station, he'd try to get someone's attention so they'd help the young student. When they did, he was told to wait outside, as he wasn't that close to the young man.

Aiden woke up in the a white room with people white coat, lab coats he would assume correctly. He gasped lightly and hissed at the attendant tending to his head wound. The attendant calmed and soothed him so Aiden wouldn't panic. Within time he was patched up and given medication to deal with the pain. Nothing drastic was wrong with him, just some bumps and bruises, cuts and scraps, and a possible concussion. He was to stay awake for the next few hours and eat something along with a pain killer pill once every 6 hours.

Aiden smiled at the doctors that assisted him and jumped down from the table and stumbled slightly and became fully standing. "All better!" He said with a slightly cheer. Starting to walk out the door, a wheelchair rolled up with another attendant with different color scrubs. "Oh, I guess I need to be wheeled out, huh?" He nodded and Aiden sat in the chair with a sigh.

He got to the check out station and saw a truly light skinned man that look rather familiar. Must have been the young man that helped me out.

Javel avoided eye contact with the male, but he'd give a wave all the same..a meek one. "so, doctor said you bumped your head hard..I'd say don't do that, it hurts...but I think you get the point."

He'd lean back in his seat and cross his right leg over his left. "so...should probably head back to the dorms at this point."

[Aiden Darkstrife]

"My intentions where to find something to eat but I ended up in here." Aiden pointed to the ceiling indication the hospital. "I haven't gotten control of my powers yet. I remember a truck, a loud horn and then You appeared." He tapped himself on the head, opposite side of the bandage. "My name is Aiden and I am really sorry for causing you such trouble this late at night." He offered the man a slight smile. "How about for assisting me, I make up for it by paying for something to eat and then back to the dorms, if you don't mind,." He continued quietly, "Haven't eaten yet."

The man perked up at the mention of food, causing him to spring to his feet. "ooo, where?" he asked, barely containing his excitement. "I hear Burger Drive's pretty good this time of night." he'd seem like a completely different person from the quiet, reserved young man that Aiden had seen before.

[Aiden Darkstrife]

Aidens eyes widened considerably when the man demeanor changed at the mention of food. He laughed a bit and stood up, paid for his doctor bill and returned to the man smiling, "Lead the way, my good man". He tucked the meds he was given into his pocket and proceeded to leave the hospital.

Still unfamiliar with the area he allowed the young man lead the way to his glorious food of Burger Drive. He hadn't been there before so he so Aiden has some high expectations of him meal.

He'd exit the building and almost seemed to glide over the pavement as he led the younger male to the Burger Drive. Once inside, he'd nod to the cashier as he looked over the menu. "Hm...don't suppose the budget's that good, so...let's go for the small Driveburger with barbecue, onions, lettuce, and tomato. Small water and a small fry please." he'd state to the clerk.

He'd then step aside and look to Aiden as he waited for the younger man to order his meal.

Smiling happily to finally have some food, hes been searching for hours so a place to eat. He took in the sounds and the smells, the people and photographed it to memory to get back there at a later date. He saw that the man ordered but ordered something so small. "Is that all you want? You can get more if you would like." He walked closer to the counter and ordered the largest thing on the menu.

He ordered and he could feel the rumbling in his stomach quicken with anticipation. Aiden looked back and raised his eyebrows to wonder if his new friend wanted something more.

When he was told he could have more, one might have sworn that his eyes had gotten big as dinner plates. "Large driveburger instead of a small please...um...and a Vanilla shake." he'd grin. Clearly food was an icebreaker (har).

"So...finish paying the nurses and such and still got enough for two meals...I'm amazed you haven't been mugged." he teased.
