The day was still bright for being just afternoon on the weekend. He figured that he would take a break from his building projects and find a good place to work on his "Winter Wonderland" set up.
He had been working on little models while at the dorm but they are just to small for anything to get done. He would have to call up his Principal's daughter, Canary for her assistance. He wasn't the best at making things, he enjoy his robots and video games. Building things on a large scale is like a different realm for him.
Apollodorus wasn't sure what kind of person his Canary was but from the way Aurelian described her, she was very important to him. Which is obvious since she is his daughter. He will respect his Principals' wishes and be nice to his girl.
He pulled out his phone and searched through his contacts to for Canary. He found it and called. He sipped on some water while he waited for the pick up.

The day had just about been like any other day. Class, meetings, sports, study hall, tutor hall, and now her own private studying in her room. It was quiet, letting her mind focus on just the words in front of her. "X squared.. minus..." she mumbled softly to herself as she absorbed herself into the mathmatical problems. She liked studying... it kept her mind off everything else but when her phone rang she glanced to it. Her hair was tied up, a few bangs hung over her dark blue eye. She reached over to the phone and looked at the number. It wasn't saved into her contacts so it hadn't been anyone she knew. Still the curiousity would never let her not answer it. She clicked the talk button as she set down her pencil and sat up a little in her chair.
"Canary's line... how may I assist you?" a bright smile played on her lips despite the fact that the other person wouldn't be able to see her. She still felt like having a smile would just transfer the emotion to the people. She placed the phone between her cheek and shoulder as her hand picked the pencil back up but this time instead she began to doodle a little as she waited for the person on the other line.

He was a bit shocked by the formality of the voice on the phone, "Yes, my name is Apollodorus Damascus. I had received this number by Principal Kinzoku." He was nervous, handling woman is not Apo's best subject. He knew to be nice and respect them but beyond that he didn't know the capabilities of women. Others have said that they can be unpredictable at times. "He mentioned that I may speak with you regarding the Winter Festivities at the school."
He let out a silent breath to calm his nerves, he didn't understand why he was nervous he wasn't even in front of one. "I must have hit the deep end" He thought to himself. He continued on over the phone, "I have a couple of ideas that I would like to discuss with someone within Student Council and your father gave me your number. Would you happen to be available to hear me out on a few things?"
He began playing with the water from the bottle, it was the only way for him to calm himself. Anytime he was nervous, water was is equalizer. He began to spin the water around his hand forming a liquid disc floating inches above his hand.

Canary settled the pencil down and leaned back against the chair, picking the phone back up with the phone as she listened more carefully and a grin spread across her face. "He did that?" her voice seemed a little emotional but on the other side she was grinning wide. She thought he had been so against the dance, but it seemed he was starting to reconsider. She figured she must have been getting to him about it. "I was actually doing a little extra studying but I'm free for the rest of the day." she rose, long sleeved light pink shirt and a pair of bell bottom flared jeans. She slipped on her flip flops and checked herself in the mirror to make sure she was presentable. She always felt a little pressure to do her best as the Principal's daughter.
She made sure her hair was brushed as she grabbed her denim messenger bag and started to stuff it with a few things. "I'm really not an over the phone type of person... how about we meet somewhere to plan things? The library is still open so we could meet there or maybe the garden... or.. anywhere you want really I'm pretty flexible." she finished packing her bag and then turned to head over to study stuff. She put away her pens and pencils in their place, stacking the notebook in one place and her school books shelved above the desk. Everything in it's place to perfection.

Apo had a face of shock, he didn't think that she would be available right now but better now than later he figured. "Yeah, the Library sounds good. I was working on a few things in the forest but it can wait for a later time." He controlled the water and put it back in to the water bottles, he also picked up his things and placed them back into his back with not much of an order.
He was use to this kind of organization, as long as he knew it was in the bag he could find it, he made mental notes from time to time to make sure he had the things he needed. He was a scatterbrained fool sometimes and he knew it so he knew when to make lists and knew once it was on a list he had to make sure it was completed.
He lifted his stuff with a minor grunt and began to walk back to the dorms. "I have to stop off at the dorm again for a couple of things but I can be there and to the Library within the hour." He made a rough mental guess and figured that and hour sounded about right, barring any complications or detours.

She paused a bit and glanced around her room, then to her little cabinet with cleaning supplies. "Alright then we'll meet in the library in half an hour. "I'm... wearing a pink tank top and I have white long hair. I'm sure we'll be some of the fewest in the library so it shouldn't be too hard to spot me. I'll see you in half an hour." and with that she hung up. She went to the cabinet and grabbed a swifter, doing a quick cleaning sweep around her room before tossing it away. She washed her hands and grabbed her bag again before heading towards the library, a light skip in her step as she did so. She was excited... a real dance with students and Aurelian was really allowing it!

He looked at his phone, closed it and made his way through the forest back to the dorm making fairly decent time, "Faster than normal" he hmm'd to himself as we walked up to the door of his room and twisted the knob. He waltzed in and put his bag on the bed, pulling out the water bottles and pulling them into another small laptop bag. He packed up his laptop and cables and slide them into it as well.
Apo went through his mental checklist, patted his pockets, spun around to glance at the tables of things he may or may not need. He smiled and left. He tapped himself on the help as he forgot his bag, he scrambled back in grabbed the bag and made off to the library. "Pink hair, white shirt...right or was it white hair pink shirt." He got to the library and glanced around the room hoping to catch someone but it did look like she was there yet. He found a empty room in the back and pulled out his laptop to start up some music while he waited.

She skipped towards the library and lost herself in the aisles, glancing at her cellphone time she saw it was beyond time for him to be there and she blushed. She hadn't even noticed she had spent so long browsing through the wonderful books! Quickly she turned and started to head out of the room, putting her phone to silent and then texted the person who had called her before I'm wondering through the library but I realize I don't know what you look like. I'm standing near the fiction aisles letters V-Z. You wanna find me or shall I scope around for you still? She hit send and looked up to see if any young males might get a text that she could see.

Apollodorus heard his phone buzzing on the table next to his laptop. He paused the music and saw he had gotten a text. He read it and walked to the door and peered out. He spotted her like easy enough, white hair, pink tank top. "I knew it was one or the other." He spoke softly to himself. He looked down at his phone and started typing, "Behind you, back room. Open doorway. That's me." He sent the message and watch the girl so when she looked up she would notice the correct room without any problems.

Her phone chimed as she chewed slightly on her lower lip and pulled out the phone to read the message to herself. She turned, bright blue eyes blinking as she looked and spotted him sticking out of the room. She gave a happy wave and shoved her phone into her front right pocket before heading over to him and slipped into the room. She closed the door behind her so they would not disturb any people outside. "Hello there! I'm Canary!" she set her bag down and turned to him, sticking her hand out towards him for a hand shake. She was so excited she could barely contain herself... the idea of a school dance was just so energizing after so much dull study.

Apo watched as the girl strolled through the doorway and announced herself, "Apollordorus, you can call me Apo or Apollo, or the full name if you choose." He was getting a little nervous again. He rambles whenever he get nervous. Handling women aren't his strongest subject and not knowing this one, put him slightly on edge. If there was a class on how to be around them, he would take it but it would probably have to be taught by a female teacher. He needed to make his brain stop for a minute before he overheated.
They both had the same goal in mind, try to make one hell of a show for the Winter Festival at the school. That's what his meeting is all about. He finally noticed the hand in front of him and shook it carefully and sat in one of the chairs at the table with his laptop open in front of him. There was a large schematic of the school and the fields surrounding it on the screen.

She sat down in one of the chairs, gently brushing back her white hair and smiled at him. "Well it's wonderful to meet you, Apollo. My father didn't tell me anything about allowing the school dance. Last time we spoke he was still telling me that the last time they threw one the attendance was so low they lost quite a lot of money." she explained and pulled out a purple spiral notebook from her bag as well as a small pink bag from which she pulled out a pencil, eraser, red pen, and a blue sparkle glitter pen. She opened to a clean page and wrote at the top "Winter Ball" with the blue sparkle gel pen and then capped it before looking back up at the young man.
"But! it doesn't matter because now we have plans to make." she grinned and lifted up her pencil and started to jot down notes. "Alright so first thing first, we need to consider a budget. If we could do a fundraiser to get together some money I'm sure my father would help out as well." she pointed out. "So let's say we raise... two thousand dollars? That's about the average for fund raisers for our school. That would give us 4k.. We'll say 3k for now because it's better to underestimate than overestimate. Then we need to the break down of the budget. Food, decorations, tables, chairs, dj... uhm.. anything else?" she tapped her pencil, rubber end down on the paper as she tried to think. Apollo might have been nervous but she was calm and serene as her head swam with ideas of a beautiful winter ball.

His brain was going into overdrive at the amount of things this girl had already thought about. He was only thinking about getting the job done, Apollo wasn't thinking about the financial side of things. He concluded, thinking that it was good that there was someone here to help him think of the things he had forgotten. Apollo swallowed roughly, "Yes, but I may have thought of a way that could lower the cost of the expenses." He spun the laptop around and showed her a list of the student with elemental abilities. "If there was a way for us to use the field as out focal point without damaging the wildlife around it we could do something outdoors." He tapped at the touch pad and flipped to another screen with the blueprints of the school. "We could ask for the students as a whole to help with designs, artwork and the like."
"With having the students help, that would reduce the risk of outsourced help. With that, maybe donations, bake sales, and social gathering we can make this actually work." He turned the computer over into her control to see what he was thinking about contributing.

She frowned when he said this and she shook her head. "It's not possible to leave ice on grass without kill it, Apollo. The ice structures would have to be completed hours in advanced and then have to stay up for the rest of the night. Plus it's getting really cold at night and you're not going to see any girl wanting to wear heels on a soft field and especially not in the cold. We would need heaters which means running even more electric out to the field. How would you power a DJ booth as well as the lights and camera area? Not to mention a dance floor would have to put out there as well and that would crush the grass but not kill it like a sculpture. Then we have the added cost of putting a dance floor out there when we could just use the cafeteria instead. It's large and we would have the resources nearby to clean up any water that may come off the nice center piece snow sculpture." she leaned forward though and started to look over what he had worked out.
"But you're right on the rest. If we could get the students to help with the festival then we could surely make far more use of the budget." she smiled and looked back up at him, gazing into his eyes. "And we need a theme name as well as colors for the theme... I honestly think since it's winter the colors should be blues, silvers, and whites. Not Christmas stuff but instead just focus on winter. Perhaps we could call it... Winter Wonderland.." She smiled a bit at the idea already dreaming it up in her mind all of the beautiful things they would have if she managed to get this to work out correctly.

He nodded at her as he was denied the field, which was fine because Aurelian disapproved of that already. So his agreement still stood on all the point she was making but the location of the dance didn't really matter to him. It could be in a forest for all he knew but it was the interaction of the students he was trying to assess.
Apollo liked the idea of using winter themed colors but could help but snicker slightly at the name, it was good as a theme but he didn't so as an announced event. "We need something better than Winter Wonderland, it has been plastered all over the news and Christmas specials on Lifetime and every storefront I saw on the way here said to Come Visit Our Winter Wonderland and it was all relative to Christmas." He felt that he was being a little forceful on just the name of the event but he felt like Winter Wonderland needed a kick in the behind and have something else take its place, even just once. "CEO and other high-priced organizations need to appeal to the Consumer Driven Society and they like to make things simple so those consumers understand it and make them feel more comfortable."
"We need something that is different and unique, something that people have heard of but not something over-played. Some like The Big Freeze or Flurries and Flakes." He used his hands as a display, he figured he would do something other than stand there and look like a goober. He looked down to Canary to see how it sounded.
Aurelian Kinzoku: Yes I would rather not want to buy more computers because of one little slip up..

Lenny Robertson: I will tell you now, please do not ruin the computers or else you will be paying for a whole new one. We could make you help the janitorial staff for a while until we see the debt is paid. But that is totally up to you.

Silver Kinzoku: And we all know that Principla Kinzoku would be more than happy to put you on janitorial service to work off paying for a computer broken. Or torturing you during detention for breaking said rule.

Ichabod: I have told Aurelian that if any of his students gets out of hand to send them my way. I have a large graveyard to take care of and only two hands to do it.
Dec 9, 2014 20:33:52 GMT -8
Canary La Muerte: it's too dang cold to be doing volunteer work for the city. I think i'll just wake up a little earlier and enjoy cocoa in the cafeteria.
Dec 11, 2014 17:18:59 GMT -8
Ichabod: But we have coffee and cocoa at the work cabin. It will be fun.

Lien Braska: He gave me towel duty once... i think the students get the idea. No monkey business.
Dec 14, 2014 11:25:43 GMT -8
Kveldulf Argenlet: There is an overwhelming amount of towels from the PE department that need washing, and frankly I'm rather tired of cleaning after your messes.

Ichabod: Isn't that part of the job description?
Dec 14, 2014 21:07:20 GMT -8
Silver Kinzoku: doesn't matter if it is... it can easily be pushed off onto a detention student. *smirk*

Zariah Marie Weaver: Ew... I wouldn't get caught dead washing those disgusting towels.
Dec 17, 2014 20:32:45 GMT -8
Renee Nakamura: Oh, do not worry. The nurses office has plenty of gloves and sanitary gels for the clean up. -Snickers-
