Pure delight filled the young girl when the other female seemed so joyed the fact that Lien was a bit unique, and then promptly revealed that she too was gifted. "A snow leopard! They are so beautiful!" she exclaimed a bit surprised. "It's funny how two beings of nature just happen upon each other and it can just... click." she shrugged, giving a slight head shake. "Being what I am is why I moved here. You see I attend the local high school for gifted children." she explained. "The Principal Mr. Kinzoku found me when I was still living LA. I was just a thug on the streets but he told me about the school, and so I told him I would be enrolled in the very next year. I admit it just felt right as soon as I got to the town. More trees, more plants, and most of the people here are pretty cool."

A purring laughter rolled from her lips and Odette nodded eagerly. "It is the way of nature, to find itself in others." She said and smiled as Lien spoke then. "That is wonderful, I am glad that you found a place to fit in." She said and tilted her head lightly. "Gifted you say? That's great. My magic shop opens in a few days, I will have to stock items just for you." She said with a light nudge to Lien. The bus that was to take them was approaching. "I cannot wait to see your green houses, I bet they are spectacular." She said knowingly now. "Perhaps, if no one is there, I will show you my leopard." She said eagerly, for she hadn't shifted in a long while it seemed.

Lien pulled her bus pas from her pocket, a gift from the school to encourage students to go out and have fun on the weekends or after school as long as they could be back by curfew. "That'd be awesome. I don't know many shifters at school." she moved up onto bus and swiped her pass before moving to take a seat in one of the empty spaces and promptly scooted over so that Odette could sit with her. "So you're opening a magic shop? Like.. crystal balls and fortune decks or rabbits in hats?" she asked as she wrapped her jacket around herself, hugging herself a bit in it.

Odette moved onto the bus following Lien. In a single gliding motion she sat with her and smiled. Eager to let her leopard free she nearly purred. "It is a shop full of all kinds of magic. I had done a little research on this place before I moved here. I think the shop will help the students here a lot with their school work and practice of their abilities." She said happily, and even began to relax slightly. Curiosity flooded her crimson eyes as Lien mentioned not knowing many shifters at school. "So there are others who can do what I do?" She asked curiously, wondering what kind of shifters there were.

Lien nodded as she sat next to her. "I've seen a few around school but to be honest I am really not that social." she admitted as she pushed her hair away from her face and stayed turned towards Odette. "So magic like real magic? I've only been around that once before and honestly... I don't think it reacted very well to me." she ave a soft nervous laugh, remembering the staff that Aisu had. "Still... maybe if I go to your store I can find something that help me figure out exactly why it reacted to me that way."
Post by Odette Merale on Feb 13, 2015 19:37:23 GMT -8
Odette listened, and nodded slightly. "Yes, real magic. We all have it. You, me, and the students at your school. We are unusual beings Lien. My shop caters to those beings and their talents. "for you, there would be botanical related items. For others, it would be catered to them as well. It's quite lovely." She tilted her head a little, and blinked once. "Adverse reaction you say? What kind of magic was it do you remember?" She asked her curiously.
Post by Lien Braska on Feb 14, 2015 9:17:49 GMT -8
It was hard to imagine magic that could help Lien... her powers were immense and she didn't even have to really try with them. She had been born the way she was... but when the woman asked about adverse reactions she drew a slow deep breath. "It was a sort of... magical staff. A part of my friend's powers I guess is connected to the staff or something. He hasn't really made it clear but..." she bit her bottom lip and her face grew a bit worried. "When I touched it... I was taken to another realm of sorts. There was a man there and he spoke to me and then... I was right back here. The man told me.. I was too early and it wasn't my time." She glanced to Odette, her eyes a bit dark when she explained. "I've never felt power like I had in that moment. He was amazingly strong and I could feel so connected and like I was in the right place and it was... terrifying."

Odette listened with genuine interest. "Who is this friend of yours?" She asked, and her catlike curiosity was at its peak. Her eyes even changed slightly, from that of a human to more.... feline looking. "You know I might have something in my shop that will give some insight on what it was you experienced." She said, and then looked as though she was thinking. "Did this friend of yours, know what happened to you?" Odette asked, as the bus bumped along its route to the green house.

Lien blushed slightly. "It was a guy named Aisu but I haven't seen him around for a while. He kinda goes off and does his own thing." she gave a slight shrug. "We talked about what happened briefly but it was close to curfew and had to get to the dorms." she glanced up as the bus started to slow at a stop. "Our stop is next. We can talk about this more once we're alone in one of the green houses." she pointed out and made sure she had everything as the bus started to pull up to the stop she pulled the cord and rose to her feet to move to the door. When they hopped off the bus it was much warmer and much of the land was indeed desert but you could see the greenhouses easily. Giant glass and plastic like houses.

Odette heard what Lien said, and nodded softly. She hushed up for now about the magic, and looked out the window. She stood with Lien when their stop came. Odette could see the greenhouses, and her heart jumped with excitement. Now she was really curious about Lien and her abilities... after what she had just told her.

She looked around for a moment, deciding which to go to. "Come on this way." she smiled and started to head towards one of the medium sized glass houses. "So the best part about this town is that everyone who knows my power knows I am pretty much the best when it comes to plants." she went to the door and pulled out a key to open it up and let them in. It was rather humid inside so Lien pulled off her jacket and closed the door behind them. "So they hire me to tend to plants.. because I'm a plant empath, as well as a nurturer. I can communicate and help them grow." she walked over to beautiful flowers that were still budding and stroked the leaves. With a little concentration the flowers started to bloom one by one and held the perfect bloom till she released it and took a step back to admire her work, then turned to Odette. "I can speak with them, see through them... I even have chlorophyll in my veins."

Odette followed Lien, eager to see her ability in action. The more Lien spoke the more fascinated she became by the girl. "That is amazing, I can communicate with animals." She said, and took in a breath when hit by the humid air of the green house. It smelled so much like home. The scent of earth, plants..and wild nature. It was quite wonderful and she even purred a little. "So can you gain nutrients by photosynthesis?" She asked, curious as ever now. "This place is beautiful and amazing Lien, I can see why they allow you all access." She said, and smiled at Lien.

Lien blushed a bit and nodded. "Yeah the principal hooked me up with it. He said I needed some direction after I got into some trouble at the school." She explained as she shoved her hands into her jean pockets. "Yeah I can photosynthesis, I drink a lot of water, and I'm a strict carnivore. It's kinda weird to eat plants you talk to." She gave a laugh as she walked back to the woman and smiled at her. It was kinda nice having someone to talk to about these things. Ayumi was always busy with work or studying, and Lien didn't really have that many friends.
Aurelian Kinzoku: Yes I would rather not want to buy more computers because of one little slip up..

Dec 3, 2014 20:42:43 GMT -8
Lenny Robertson: I will tell you now, please do not ruin the computers or else you will be paying for a whole new one. We could make you help the janitorial staff for a while until we see the debt is paid. But that is totally up to you.

Deleted: Sorry Mr. R, but you know me
Dec 4, 2014 16:25:49 GMT -8
Silver Kinzoku: And we all know that Principla Kinzoku would be more than happy to put you on janitorial service to work off paying for a computer broken. Or torturing you during detention for breaking said rule.
Dec 9, 2014 20:04:39 GMT -8
Ichabod: I have told Aurelian that if any of his students gets out of hand to send them my way. I have a large graveyard to take care of and only two hands to do it.
Dec 9, 2014 20:33:52 GMT -8
Canary La Muerte: it's too dang cold to be doing volunteer work for the city. I think i'll just wake up a little earlier and enjoy cocoa in the cafeteria.
Dec 11, 2014 17:18:59 GMT -8
Ichabod: But we have coffee and cocoa at the work cabin. It will be fun.
Dec 11, 2014 20:27:38 GMT -8
Kveldulf Argenlet: If graveyard work is insufficient, the park ranger of the Kumorai Forest informed me he needs volunteers to help remove invasive plants and dig fire ditches.
Dec 12, 2014 11:00:31 GMT -8
Lien Braska: He gave me towel duty once... i think the students get the idea. No monkey business.
Dec 14, 2014 11:25:43 GMT -8
Kveldulf Argenlet: There is an overwhelming amount of towels from the PE department that need washing, and frankly I'm rather tired of cleaning after your messes.
Dec 14, 2014 13:16:32 GMT -8
Ichabod: Isn't that part of the job description?
Dec 14, 2014 21:07:20 GMT -8
Silver Kinzoku: doesn't matter if it is... it can easily be pushed off onto a detention student. *smirk*
Dec 15, 2014 12:38:08 GMT -8
Zariah Marie Weaver: Ew... I wouldn't get caught dead washing those disgusting towels.
Dec 17, 2014 20:32:45 GMT -8
Renee Nakamura: Oh, do not worry. The nurses office has plenty of gloves and sanitary gels for the clean up. -Snickers-
Dec 19, 2014 20:11:38 GMT -8
Zariah Marie Weaver: I'm good. I'd rather just be smart and not get into trouble
Dec 28, 2014 16:58:38 GMT -8
Silver Kinzoku: Good to hear! Then things will run smooth.
