Samael glanced down at his pocket, pulling out a sleek, plain black smartphone to check the text and register her in his phone. He put it away and looked back up at her again, though, before turning to his food. "Ah... I supposed a bit of both. That and I normally don't eat lunch, so this is an anomaly for me, to be honest." He paused. "To be even more honest, I normally take a quick drink at this time instead, but I'm out of alcohol." He gave a short laugh. "Guess that's what I get for going out to eat sometimes." He ate a bit more pasta before finally feeling full enough to push the plate away altogether.

Ayumi's eyes went wide and her finger stopped playing a bit with the fry in her hand. "You... drink alcohol?" she had to ask to be sure she had heard him right before she blinked a bit and shook her head. "I know that is illegal... I could never break the law. I get so nervous and my palms sweat. My coworkers have offered me sake at the place I work but I've never had it." she smirked a little and gazed at him. Again.. he was so much like the bad boys back in Japan. "You should eat something if all you do is drink... who knows what damage the alcohol could be doing to your not yet fully developed body." she pointed out, and felt worry for the young man she had just become friends with. "What do you normally eat?"
