He nodded, shouldering his gear and tightening his shoes. He could run fast, despite looking older, and had pretty good endurance for himself. "Let me drop some of these clothes off by my truck real quick- they'll only slow me down if we need to give chase." He said, before heading off to take care of things. He returned quickly, carrying less arrows, and his bow, his shirts off, revealing a well muscle-toned body, with a lot of scars- he'd seen fierce battles before, and the scars alone were evidence that he was well-capable of handling himself.
"Ready when you are." He grinned, ready to go and looking forward to the hunt. Thoughts of his old military career came to mind, right after his change, before everything well to hell."
Ichabod could now tell why he wanted his secret kept, the make was built like a brick house but what caught his eye was the large amounts of scars covering his exposed skin. There were cuts and stabs and what looked like bullet hole littering his body. This man was a force to be wrecking with and would give a wet slap about anything once he gets going.
He nodded to the name and sniffed deeply into the wind. "I have found your pig, just short of a quarter mile away." He spoke gently into Kveldulf's mind. "Its still alone, gone west." Ichabod had no inclination that the man wouldn't keep up with his face pace running. "Come." He started to run, he was to his top speed within half a dozen steps heading west making sure he was down wind of anything within range of scent. He slowed to a stop as he arrived at the location of the pig, it was grazing in shallow field.

He only nodded, and when Ichabod took off, so did he. He kept up with the giant wolf effortlessly, sailing over fallen logs and the like, knowing they were getting closer to his prey. He loved the feeling of the wind on his face and beard, his feet gracing the earth for a moment before flying through the air, the blood pumping in his veins. Yes.. This would be a good hunt.
When they arrived where the pig was, he took a moment to slow his breathing, and got very low, pulling the bow off his shoulder and moving towards the sow in a fluid motion, drawing back the arrow as he crept up behind the pig. He was a good ways away, and he pulled the string back as far as it would go and let it fly, the arrow finding its mark. The pig gave a death squeal, and sank down, bleeding out a bit. Pulling another arrow and sinking it in the pig's brain to ensure it didn't suffer, he approached it, snapped the neck like a twig, carefully removed his arrows and shouldered it, the hot blood seeping down his back. "Ready for the next spot?" He asked, ready for another one.
Ichabod watched as his heart raced faster at the sight of the kill, the arrow piecing the human-like skin and entering the skull destroying the grey matter of the pigs brain. The slightly spray of blood at the exit of the wound will show how precise the shot was. His breathing became a little heavier when he ripped his eyes away from the scene.
He noticed the man asking where to do next. Ichabod shook himself from head to tail so he can regain control of himself. Its been so long since he had willingly killed, thought it was an animal it still brought flashes of his past in the wild.
Ichabod took another deep breath and it look longer for him to focus on the next kill. He struggled a little bit but after 3 or 4 minutes he caught the slightest scent of elk. "This way." He said a little roughly, trying to suppress the urge for blood. He headed toward the Northwest, it took a good 10 minutes of solid running before they were within sight of the herd but again far enough away to not be noticed.
Ichabod sat down next to one of the trees acting as if he needed a moment to catch his breath.

He looked back to his friend and noticed his intense look, being sure not to get too close. "Are you alright?" He asked, as if sensing the bloodlust radiating off his companion. He followed close behind when he took off, but didn't stay too close to him- man or no, it was never wise to get too close to a hungry predator, even one who had a human mind.
Once they had reached the elk herd, he put the pig down and rested, glancing to his companion who appeared winded. But he wasn't born yesterday- the man was trying to holding something dark back. Kveld had his bow out, and arrow, and though he didn't nock it, he had it at the ready. "If you want to take the elk down by yourself, that's fine, but if you need any assistance, I'll be right in after you."
His panting slowed slightly as the man asked his question, "Yes, I'm Fine. It has just been a really long time since my last hunt. Just need a moment and I'll be back in the game." he said to the man in his mind. He sat trying to center himself, he closed his eyes and blocked off his senses from everything around him. It was a technique he picked up from some shifters in Mexico years back.
He was mostly back to normal, he was calm enough and knew what had to be done. This is why he preferred to have his steaks cooked rather than raw like most shifters. The scent of blood mixed with the adrenaline is a dangerous concoction. Younger shifters that aren't keen to there surroundings have a much harder time with this sort of thing. "I can handle it, just be ready with your bow."
Ichabod slid silently into the darkness so he could get a better angle on the herd. He had reached the higher point of the hill and could see the large man bow and arrow prepared. He nodded and jumped down to the center of the herd crushing two of the elk necks killing them almost instantly. With the sound of his landing the herd looked and saw him, they shook in fear and ran in several different directions.
A single female was running in the direction of Kveldulf but what caught Ichabod off guard was the largest of all the elk standing at attention ready to take on this new foe. He barked with great fury to scare it away but he didn't budge. No, the large elk blew steam from his snout and charge at him. With a quick swipe of his right paw he cleaved away the elks face, exposing the skull and the cavity that use to hold the brain. The body of the large elk dropped to the ground with an audible thug.
He placed his paw back onto the pinned elk but there weren't going anywhere any time soon. He dropped to his haunches and howled lightly to let Kveldulf know that Ichabod had done his job.

He nodded, keeping his bow at the ready as he headed off and began his attack, taking down the elk like a furred cannonball. It was amazing to watch, and a slight chill went through the man's body as he watched it all go down. He noticed the doe heading towards him and growled loudly- the frightened female, not wanting to fall prey to another predator, reared back and turned on a dime away from him, and away from the carnage her herd had suffered. When his companion took down the bull elk that charged him so savagely, Kveld kept his own bow at the ready, making him wait cautiously, to ensure his companion was in the right mind.
When the howl came loose, he stood, and put the arrow in his quiver, carefully making his way towards his companion to look at what he'd wrecked. The 2 from earlier in the flight had no visible wounds whatsoever, aside from the distortion in their necks from the broken spines. The fiery male was the worst off- dead but body still twitching from the impact and exposed nerves. Kveldulf stood grimly. "Well done. Although, this one's going to have some pretty stringy meat. You might just want to go at it now before everything contracts and makes the meat tougher." He suggested. It was too much like the field, but the man had luckily done enough meditation and work with zen masters to overcome the overwhelming flashbacks- he felt pity for the elk and silently said a prayer for it.
Ichabod shifted back stretching letting his back pop a bit. He finished with a grunt, "Eh, shouldn't be to bad a jerky. It will give me a reason to break out the smoker." He smiled thinking about the few things he would need to get that working again. "Besides, I prefer my meat cooked oddly enough." It was one of the very few things that he couldn't get use too.
Sure, he could eat raw meat but it was bland and messy. With the right seasoning and temperature he could make a stake that could make people cry, its that good.
"Do you want to get your truck or so you want to drag these through the woods?" He is able to do it but with the blood flowing from the larger elk, I would be a large signal for other beasts in the woods to come and check it out.

He listened and nodded. "I'll bring the truck up. we can probably drag it, like you said, but there's other animals out, and you're also looking at losing some meat to the brambles. I'll be right back." He set the pig down, with his bow and quiver, and took off running towards his vehicle. He stayed fit, so he made it to his car in about 15 minutes. He was careful to make sure nobody saw him, since it didn't help he was only wearing some ragged pants and had blood covering his back. He wiped the blood off quickly before getting into the cab, and turned the engine over, letting it sit and warm up before he took off in the direction he came from. He had o go slow, to avoid damaging his truck and the forest around them, so he took a little longer getting back. When he saw his friend, he parked and turned off the engine before getting out.
Ichabod watched as the man ran off to get the truck. Since he had a moment to himself, he poked at the deer and realized that he didn't have a place for the butchering. The last time he hunted like this he just tore the bits off and roasted them. "I wonder if there is a butcher or someone in town that he could payoff to do the job for him."
He could hear as the sound of the truck echoed through the dark woods, he spotted the lights and gave a wave to let his new friend know that his was still there and everything was normal as before. He stood and walked over to the truck signaling to the man, "Do you have any tarps for the back?" He didn't want to have to have the man clean a massive mess out of his truck.
Another thought ran through his brain and let it be known with widening eyes, "How are we going to keep the meat from going bad. I have reservations for the next 2 or 3 days." He tapped his head thinking about what they should do. "Do you have an ideas? I don't have a place big enough that can hold anything that large." He pointed to the 4 bodies of meat behind him.
Aurelian Kinzoku: Yes I would rather not want to buy more computers because of one little slip up..

Lenny Robertson: I will tell you now, please do not ruin the computers or else you will be paying for a whole new one. We could make you help the janitorial staff for a while until we see the debt is paid. But that is totally up to you.

Silver Kinzoku: And we all know that Principla Kinzoku would be more than happy to put you on janitorial service to work off paying for a computer broken. Or torturing you during detention for breaking said rule.
Dec 9, 2014 20:04:39 GMT -8
Ichabod: I have told Aurelian that if any of his students gets out of hand to send them my way. I have a large graveyard to take care of and only two hands to do it.

Canary La Muerte: it's too dang cold to be doing volunteer work for the city. I think i'll just wake up a little earlier and enjoy cocoa in the cafeteria.
Dec 11, 2014 17:18:59 GMT -8
Ichabod: But we have coffee and cocoa at the work cabin. It will be fun.
Dec 11, 2014 20:27:38 GMT -8
Kveldulf Argenlet: If graveyard work is insufficient, the park ranger of the Kumorai Forest informed me he needs volunteers to help remove invasive plants and dig fire ditches.

Lien Braska: He gave me towel duty once... i think the students get the idea. No monkey business.
Dec 14, 2014 11:25:43 GMT -8
Kveldulf Argenlet: There is an overwhelming amount of towels from the PE department that need washing, and frankly I'm rather tired of cleaning after your messes.
Dec 14, 2014 13:16:32 GMT -8
Ichabod: Isn't that part of the job description?
Dec 14, 2014 21:07:20 GMT -8
Silver Kinzoku: doesn't matter if it is... it can easily be pushed off onto a detention student. *smirk*
Dec 15, 2014 12:38:08 GMT -8
Zariah Marie Weaver: Ew... I wouldn't get caught dead washing those disgusting towels.
Dec 17, 2014 20:32:45 GMT -8
Renee Nakamura: Oh, do not worry. The nurses office has plenty of gloves and sanitary gels for the clean up. -Snickers-

Zariah Marie Weaver: I'm good. I'd rather just be smart and not get into trouble

Silver Kinzoku: Good to hear! Then things will run smooth.
