Ichabod could feel the kid grip tightly onto his thick fur, "Okay." He put his snout to the ground and found the scent of gas and people. He began following the scent at a steady pace. It was a fair amount of distance away.
He spoke loud enough to be heard, "We are quite the distance from town. How did you manage to make it out this far?" He carefully jumped over a small creek and landed with grace.

He held on as the man took off, hating every moment of cold as the wind whipped across his face and hands, by grateful to be going home after all this. "I.. W-walked." He said, somewhat smartassed. "I thought there was still time ...." He managed against the biting cold.
After a bit of observation of the boy Ichabod has figured that the chill the boy was feeling was real, "You seem colder than normal. I am going to go faster so we can get you someplace warm."
Ichabod tensed and found the straightest route to the center of town. It should get a bit warmer once he are in the busyness of the city. He sprint and jumped through fields and hills, within moments he was outside of town.
It indeed was a touch warmer than the forest but not by much. He found a local shop and shifted to his human form to get the child inside to regain some warmth. He looked down at the kid, "You doing alright, boy? It does get cold at night around this time of the year."

He didn't answer, aside from his shivering body and chattering teeth. He merely clutched the fur tighter, hoping that they would reach town soon. The cold wasn't necessarily lethal, but it was incredibly uncomfortable and made his brain foggy. He didn't notice how fast they were going, keeping his head close to the wolf's back, seeking warmth. The only thing that kept him from getting bucked off was the radiant warmth covering his hands, and under his stomach and the inside of his legs as he straddled the beast. His only thoughts were of the dorm, his bed, and a hot cup of tea.
Ichabod stripped off his duster and his shirt, thought it smelled like it. It was as hot as his body so it might stabilize him for a moment until he was able to call a cab to transport him the rest of the way back to the dorms in warmth. "Hold these close to your skin for a moment and I will call a cab to get us to the dorm."
He pulled out his phone and called the number for the cab, he had the number so he would be able to acclimate with the citizens better. When in Rome and all that jazz. He flagged what may have been the store owner and asked for the address. He finally got through to the Taxi Company, "Yes, I need an emergency Taxi to the Kumorai School Dormitory." He read off his location and stated that he needed the taxi to be as hot as it can be. The taxi company complied and said they would be there momentarily. "You'll be just fine. my boy."
He finally looked up to notice his surroundings, he was in the opening area of Snipers Bar and Grill. "Dumbass" he scolded himself and he lifted the boy gently through the second set of doors behind them walking into a Wonderland of Cooked Steak, Football, and best of all warmth. He spotted an empty chair and set the kid down almost in the kitchen where it was the warmest.

He welcomed the warmth of the coat and shirt, wrapping both around him. It shocked his system at first, but he was able to quickly overcome it and was soon able to move on his own. His face was still cold, and it wasn't until he was in the establishment that he was fully functional. Though it struck him as odd that the man picked him up and carried him into the restaurant like he was just a baby.
Once they were seated, he slowly unwrapped the shirt and coat from around him, feeling comfortable once more. "Thanks...." He muttered, feeling close to normal again. It wasn't until he realized where they were that he felt slight hunger pangs strike, the smell of steak causing his stomach to gurgle. He kept quiet though- once he was home he could eat as he liked in the comfort of his dorm.
He retrieved his shirt and duster back and pulled them on swiftly. He could see the boy slowly adjusting to the warmer climate, somewhat better just by looking at him. "You are a different one, what kind of person are you? I have seen something like that since..." He thought about it and it turns out never. "...Never."
His stomach growled fiercely, and pulled out his wallet looking inside. Obviously there was nothing in it but a few cards, a license, and a business card or two. He sighed roughly, "I guess I am eating out tonight. I had plans to hunt for my food tonight and not use my card but what can you do." He said the last bit with sarcasm but he thought about it a more and came to the realization that he would need some money to get the kid back to the dorms. "Might as well and get something to eat while we are here."

At the inquiry, he only looked up to the man and flashed him a wry smile, showing his slender fangs. His scent also was distinctly more reptilian as well, once he warmed up. He finally spoke. "I'm just a bastard from the school who got his ass saved by a giant wolfy." He said with a sarcastic tone. He heard the other's stomach growl, knowing this stop was going to be a while.
He held up his hand at the man's offer, sensing his hurt for real cash. "I got it. The least I can do for my hero." He winked and gave a kissy face, slight mockingly. If anything, Azazel didn't hurt for money, given his family's habit of stripping bodies clean after they were done with them- all the way down to bare bank accounts.
He was slightly shocked and whispered, "A snake boy, I always thought it was just a circus act. I never thought it was the real deal. I thought you were a lizard type but no snake is more interesting." A vision of a circus popped into his head from years ago, people cheering and clapping and light screams from the lions they used on set.
Ichabod accepted the kids offer for his purchase, "Thank you very much." He did not react to the mocking tone, even as a young man Ichabod was offered the bed of many women so he knew the difference in real and mocking tones. But in turn he tittered his fingers in Azazels direction to play his little game. He honestly didn't care what people thought of him.
Since he was having a meal he would be hear for a while so he called the Taxi Company back to push back the request for another hour.

He laughed at that, genuine mirth in his voice. "Circus, huh? I've had my share of being lumped in the freak show though." He laughed a bit, and it wasn't before long that they were seen by a waitress. She was pretty good looking, but the boy scarcely looked at her aside from acknowledging her existence when she arrived. Either too polite or didn't swing that way to anyone watching.
After she gave them their menus and brought waters over, she left, sending their server over. He glanced at the man, taking a slight sip before grimacing at the cold. "So what's your name? Since I'm buying, it's only fair to know." He kept up his harmless flirting, just for fun. The man didn't interest him, not his type.
He patted the kids shoulder, "You wont have to worry about that here, Kumorai is a good school and they will help you with many things." He thought of the few students he had came in contact over the years. "If you need something specific, Aurelian is always willing to assist."
He watched as the waitress came to the table and grabbed a menu from her and watched her carefully as she walked away catching a quick glimpse of her butt. He looked back at the kid, "Ichabod, nice to meet you." He put out his hand for a shake.

He nodded. "From my 3 years there, it's been very accepting. I'll be sad to leave it in a year." He mused, knowing it had become his second home. Hopefully by the time he graduated, he'd have enough saved up to attend the university, just to avoid returning home.
"Pleasure to meet you, Ichabod. I'm Azazel." He finally introduced himself, shaking the man's hand. He glanced over the menu, glad for the various carnivorous entrees. His eyes lingered over the fillet mignon, before glancing at the other items.
He smiled and nodded slightly, "I think Ill have the Sirloin Steak with peppers and tall cold beer." He deserved it at least. Its not like he lived off beer or anything, it tastes good and his body metabolizes alcohol faster than a human so it takes a lot for him to get drunk.
He smiled contently, "Ill probably go shopping after this." He spoke loud enough to be heard and explained himself "Though, I don't like to use my card, it is used for necessities and emergencies. I normally deal with physical money but when times get tight I use it."
He thought about it, he barely uses the account and the money from his job is deposited directly. He takes some money out for certain things and leaves the rest to sit. His eyes scrunched up in thought. He tried to do the math in his head but he was never really good at it, he knew just enough to get by in the world and was content with that. He shook his head and figured that he had quite a bit of money in there. He got lost in thought for so long the waitress had returned for there orders.

Azazel looked to him and nodded at his choice, noting the waitress's arrival. "I'll have the fills mignon with a side of buffalo wings, and Dr. Pepper mixed with Grenadier." He ordered, just now noticing the waitress's odd glance as she took their orders, before glancing down. He didn't notice before how disheveled he'd become, and fixed his clothes. It seemed he came from a cultured family at least.
"Shopping, eh? Will this be before or after the cab arrives?" He was curious, but if he was with an adult when curfew hit til he got home, there would be no consequences. He looked through his bag, double checking everything was in there, before grabbing a textbook and notebook. "Please don't think I'm. Trying to be rude, but I do have a bit of work that needs to be done. Please continue- I'm listening."
He returning the menu to the woman and spoke, "No, you will be brought back to the dorms and I will be on my way." He hesitated quickly before he spoke again, "Shopping and then some personal running around that needs to get done."
Not that it mattered to the kid or anything but he needed to check on the graveyard to see if any work needed to be done and he didn't need the kid hounding all night. "I have some plans later tonight that I prefer to do alone." He thought about what he just said and laughed a bit.
Aurelian Kinzoku: Yes I would rather not want to buy more computers because of one little slip up..

Aiden Darkstrife: What about a screw cap or a water bottle?

Dec 3, 2014 20:42:43 GMT -8
Lenny Robertson: I will tell you now, please do not ruin the computers or else you will be paying for a whole new one. We could make you help the janitorial staff for a while until we see the debt is paid. But that is totally up to you.

Dec 4, 2014 16:25:49 GMT -8
Silver Kinzoku: And we all know that Principla Kinzoku would be more than happy to put you on janitorial service to work off paying for a computer broken. Or torturing you during detention for breaking said rule.

Ichabod: I have told Aurelian that if any of his students gets out of hand to send them my way. I have a large graveyard to take care of and only two hands to do it.
Dec 9, 2014 20:33:52 GMT -8
Canary La Muerte: it's too dang cold to be doing volunteer work for the city. I think i'll just wake up a little earlier and enjoy cocoa in the cafeteria.
Dec 11, 2014 17:18:59 GMT -8
Ichabod: But we have coffee and cocoa at the work cabin. It will be fun.

Kveldulf Argenlet: If graveyard work is insufficient, the park ranger of the Kumorai Forest informed me he needs volunteers to help remove invasive plants and dig fire ditches.
Dec 12, 2014 11:00:31 GMT -8
Lien Braska: He gave me towel duty once... i think the students get the idea. No monkey business.
Dec 14, 2014 11:25:43 GMT -8
Kveldulf Argenlet: There is an overwhelming amount of towels from the PE department that need washing, and frankly I'm rather tired of cleaning after your messes.
Dec 14, 2014 13:16:32 GMT -8
Ichabod: Isn't that part of the job description?
Dec 14, 2014 21:07:20 GMT -8
Silver Kinzoku: doesn't matter if it is... it can easily be pushed off onto a detention student. *smirk*
Dec 15, 2014 12:38:08 GMT -8
Zariah Marie Weaver: Ew... I wouldn't get caught dead washing those disgusting towels.
Dec 17, 2014 20:32:45 GMT -8
Renee Nakamura: Oh, do not worry. The nurses office has plenty of gloves and sanitary gels for the clean up. -Snickers-
Dec 19, 2014 20:11:38 GMT -8
Zariah Marie Weaver: I'm good. I'd rather just be smart and not get into trouble
Dec 28, 2014 16:58:38 GMT -8
Silver Kinzoku: Good to hear! Then things will run smooth.
